For Task Posters
For Task Posters
As a Task Poster, you can create and manage tasks on RateUp to get work done efficiently—whether it’s gathering feedback, testing products, or boosting engagement. This section walks you through posting tasks, funding them, setting distribution strategies, reviewing submissions, and handling disputes.
3.1 Creating a Task
Start by defining your task on the Task Form page—set clear goals and expectations for Workers.
Steps to Create a Task:
From your dashboard, click "Create Task" under Published Tasks.
Fill out the form:
Title: Add a short, descriptive name (e.g., "Product Feedback Post").
Tags: Enter keywords separated by commas (e.g., "ecommerce, feedback") to categorize your task.
Category: Select from options like Ecommerce or Entertainment.
Abstract: Write a brief, public-facing summary of the task.
Description: Provide detailed instructions in the rich text editor—keep it clear and specific.
Acceptance Criteria: List requirements Workers must meet (e.g., "Submit a screenshot").
Max Subtask Count: Set the total number of completions (e.g., 10 jobs).
Commission Cost Per Job: Define the pay per job in USD (e.g., $25.00).
Time Limit: Specify the maximum hours to complete each job (e.g., 48 hours).
Click "Save" to draft your task.
Tips:
Make the Title concise yet informative—Workers rely on it.
Use the Description for detailed guidance; keep Acceptance Criteria actionable.
Set a fair Commission Cost to attract reliable Workers.
3.2 Funding Tasks
Your task needs funding before it can go live—pre-deposit USDT to cover the total cost.
Steps to Fund a Task:
Ensure your wallet has enough USDT—visit the Deposit page to top up if needed (see Setting Up Your Wallet).
After saving your task draft, you’ll be prompted to fund it from your Available Balance.
Enter the total amount (e.g., $250 for 10 jobs at $25 each)—this covers all subtasks.
Confirm the funding—funds move from your wallet to escrow, securing the task.
Important Notes:
Total commission is calculated as [Commission Cost Per Job] × [Max Subtask Count].
RateUp deducts a 15% commission on approved jobs; Workers receive 85%.
If your balance is insufficient, you’ll see a prompt to deposit more USDT.
3.3 Task Distribution
Decide how your task reaches Workers with customizable distribution settings.
Steps to Set Distribution:
On the Task Form, under "Strategy":
Visible To Public: Check to make the task description public; uncheck to limit it to confirmed Workers.
Subtask Release Strategy: Choose how jobs are released:
All at Once: All jobs available immediately.
One by One Evenly: Jobs released evenly over time.
One by One Randomly: Jobs released at random intervals.
Release Period: Set the days for job releases (e.g., 5 days).
Participation Limit: Cap the jobs per Worker (e.g., 1 job per user).
Save your settings—tasks will roll out based on your choices.
Benefits:
Controlled releases help manage quality and timing.
Limiting jobs per Worker encourages diverse participation.
Private visibility keeps sensitive details secure until Workers are confirmed.
3.4 Reviewing Submissions
Once Workers submit their jobs, review them to approve or reject based on your criteria.
Steps to Review:
Go to "My Tasks" in your dashboard to see submitted jobs.
Check each submission against your Acceptance Criteria (e.g., screenshot included?).
Click "Confirm Completion and Release Payment" to approve—85% of the commission goes to the Worker instantly.
Select "I want to cancel this job" to reject, providing feedback—funds remain in escrow.
Tips:
Clear Acceptance Criteria reduce confusion and disputes.
Approve promptly to keep Workers motivated—payments settle in 3 seconds.
Use rejection feedback to guide Workers for future tasks.
3.5 Managing Disputes
If a Worker challenges a rejection, handle it through RateUp’s dispute resolution process.
Steps to Manage Disputes:
You’ll get a notification in "My Tasks" if a Worker requests a dispute.
Review their evidence (e.g., screenshots or notes) against your criteria.
Respond with your reasoning—RateUp’s AI pre-screens, followed by human review within 72 hours.
Outcome: If the Worker wins, funds are released; if not, they stay in escrow.
Tips:
Set fair, explicit criteria to minimize disputes.
Provide detailed feedback during disputes for clarity.
Disputes resolve fast, keeping your workflow smooth.
